NOTE: The Hawks offense returned to earth in game 2 after a great showing in game 1. After shooting 11-26 FG from 16-23 feet & 7-13 3pts, the Hawks regressed to 6-30 from 16-23 feet & 3-13 from behind the arc! We can expect this kind of numbers to be "the norm" of this series as the Bulls defense is really terrific. Also, the Bulls dominated the glass like they were supposed to do in game 2 and even though they did not have a good offensive game the combination of good defense + rebounds prowerness was enough for a 13-points win. The Bulls are struggling on the offensive end for 2 strong reasons: both Rose and Boozer are banged up! With just one day off to rest between game 2 and tonight's game, I expect this contest to be another ugly game with the Bulls prevailing.

NBA - 719 LA Lakers @ 720 Dallas Mavericks

NOTE: The Mavericks torched the Lakers in both games with their good ball movement and an effective inside-out game. The Lakers worried too much in stopping Dirk Nowitzki more specifically in the high pick and rolls plays that they allowed JJ Barea to destroy them during the 4th quarter of G2. After the game, even though the Lakers shot a miserable mark of 2-20 behind the arc and 11-20 FT's, Lakers' head coach Phil Jackson said that their offense did an OK job while their defense was horrible. Here some comments about the Lakers practice from yesterday: "There was no heavy scrimmaging, but there was a lot of work to do – a lot of teamwork – in defending Dallas’ spread offense, especially."
