MLB Premium Play 08/15: Philadelphia Phillies @ Miami Marlins

MLB - 901 Philadelphia Phillies @ 902 Miami Marlins

(Starting Pitchers: R. Halladay vs M. Buehrle)

The first two games of this series have been a complete tragedy in terms of hitting, especially for Miami, who is yet to score a single run on this series and looking at the spot for today and the starting pitchers, I believe we are into a third consecutive game with the pitchers will dominate the hitters.

Philadelphia is starting Halladay and he is coming from a great outing, where he dominated the Cardinals offense with just 99 pitches thrown. He struggled a bit earlier, but made some adjustments to his arm slot and he is now looking to be back on track. He allowed just one earned run on his last two starts against St Louis and Arizona (two good offenses), while having a FIP of 2.10 and 3.10 respectively. Against a Marlins team that is hitting so badly that they haven't scored a single run in their last 27 innings, I can only expect a dominant performance from Halladay today.

On the other hand, Miami will be starting Buehrle who had a respectable 9-11 record and 3.80 ERA this season. He is currently having a poor stretch of the season, as he had a 6.00 ERA and 5.93 FIP in the current month, however the Phillies aren't hitting well and they will use this ridiculous lineup today:

1. Jimmy Rollins (S) SS
2. Kevin Frandsen (R) 3B
3. Chase Utley (L) 2B
4. Ty Wigginton (R) 1B
5. Hector Luna (R) LF
6. Domonic Brown (L) RF
7. John Mayberry (R) CF
8. Erik Kratz (R) C
9. Roy Halladay (R) P

After looking at Phillies' lineup for today and considering the fact that Halladay looks back in form and ready to dominate the horrible offense of the Marlins, I believe we are heading into another game between these two teams with very few runs scored. Therefore, I'll be taking the Under in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 901/902 Under 7 (w/ R. Halladay & M. Buehrle) @ +105 / 2.05 on 5Dimes
