MLB - 971 Tampa Bay Rays @ 972 Los Angeles Angels
(Starting Pitchers: D. Price vs D. Haren)
After "allowing" a perfect game to Felix Hernandez yesterday, the Rays start a new series in LA against the Angels immediately with their ace David Price on the mount. He will be seeking his eight win in a row and he is coming from a win against Minnesota last Saturday, where he allowed two runs and seven hits in 7IP. He has been consistently amazing lately and a proof of that is that his FIP has been always lower than 4.00 on his last eight appearances.
On the other side, the Angels will start Haren tonight, who pitched against the Rays last week and he was great by allowing just one earned run and five hits in a 6.0 IP outing. However, his fastball continues to be slower than usual and on his last three starts, his fastball was just at the 87's mph and that's the reason why he could get a single strikeout on his last outing against Seattle, where he struggled by allowing seven runs (five earned) and five hits, while walking three batters in just 3.1 IP. With Price going to head to head against him tonight, Haren on his current form represents a very clear SP edge in favor of Tampa Bay and so, I expect the Rays tonight to bounce back from yesterday's humiliation and get a good win tonight. I'm taking the Rays in here.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 971 Tampa Bay Rays ML (w/ D. Price) @ -115 / 1.87 on 5Dimes
