Even though most people believe the White Sox won't have problems on this contest tonight with Sale on the mount, the truth is that I believe this will be a flat spot for the White Sox, who will struggle on offense tonight. They are lacking any kind of patience right now on their hitting and it looks like the only way they can score right now is via homeruns. They will start Sale tonight and after two outings in a row where he allowed five earned runs in each game, he bounced back against this very same Royals, on a great spot for him, as he had 10 days of rest prior to that game. Things will be different this time, as he had only 4 days of rest before this game and even though he will most likely have a good performance today, I don't think it will be an 100% clean performance neither.
The Royals will start Mendoza tonight and after an outing against the White Sox, where he allowed 4ER in 7.1IP, he had another good outing in Baltimore, where he dominated and helped the Royals upset the Orioles on the road. I believe he will have a good performance tonight against the White Sox on a flat spot for them and therefore, I expect a low scoring affair, with Kansas City on a much better spot than the White Sox may be able to pull the upset tonight. Therefore, I'll take both the Royals and the Under in here.
