MLB - 953 Philadelphia Phillies @ 954 Miami Marlins

Philadelphia will start Kendrick today and as a starter this season, he is 2-8 with a 5.01 ERA, including a 6-4 win in Miami when he allowed two runs in 5.1IP. Still, the Marlins' roster is hitting .296 against him and considering the fact that he is 0-1 with a 9.82 ERA since replacing Blanton in the rotation, he may even lose his spot soon even though Philadelphia doesn't really have anybody to replace him. The truth is that on his last two starts, Kendrick was completely dominated by Atlanta and Arizona in two outings where he had 16.20 ERA/9.09 FIP and 4.50 ERA/5.34 FIP respectively. With Miami traditionally hitting so well against him, I believe he is in clear danger of having another poor outing today.
Especially when Miami will start their ace Johnson who has a season average of 3.68 ERA but just 3.06 FIP. He has been a bit inconsistent on his last five starts (5.43, 1.02, 5.09, 0.09 and 4.04 FIP), however he was affected by the trade deadline rumors plus he started in a few day games where his command isn't as good as on night games. With Philadelphia struggling on their hitting lately and even though both Howard and Rollins have a BA higher than .300 against Johnson (but Utley just has.241), I expect Miami to take advantage of Kendrick's struggles and the Phillies' inconsistent hitting to have a good win with their ace on the mount. Therefore, I'll be taking Miami to win tonight.
