NBA - 705 Miami Heat @ 706 Orlando Magic
Projected Line: 188 points
***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***
Both teams will be playing their third game in four nights, however the Heat will be indeed playing their fifth game in just seven days! Orlando's offense has been struggling without Jameer Nelson and Glen Davis, with no post up game and no transitions: only long jumpers and that's tough to be effective on this kind of tactic. On the other hand, Orlando's defense struggled on their last three games, especially on their last game against Toronto, where the Raptors were unbelievably hot, with Orlando being able to do very little to counter that great offensive game from Toronto. The Raptors ended the game with an insane 14-26 FG from 16-23 feet and 15-27 3pts!!!
The Magic will host the Heat tonight, a team that is on a terrible spot for tonight. They got crushed by Detroit's second unit and then at Milwaukee, the Bucks pushed up the pace and scored a lot of points in transition against a very tired Heat team. Milwaukee scored 21 fast break points! The good part for Miami today is that Orlando is #30 in transition offense, so Miami won't have problems with that. This will be a half court game, as Miami has no plans to make this game a fast paced one as they are tired.
"I was pushing the pace and trying to get us up the floor whenever I would get a rebound and an outlet pass," Lebron James said. "The last four or five nights we've definitely felt tired." LeBron has scored at least 20 points in 28 consecutive games, and the Heat don't play another back-to-back set until Jan. 16-17, so there's nothing to worry about here.
I expect a slow paced game in here, with both teams struggling a bit on offense due to their poor spots, especially the Magic who have no creativity on their offense right now. Therefore, I'll be taking the Under in here on a Double Dime Play!
