NBA Free Premium Play 01/15: Los Angeles Clippers @ Houston Rockets

LA Clippers  at Houston
NBA - 507 Los Angeles Clippers @ 508 Houston Rockets

Projected Line: 211 points

The LA Clippers is coming from a big win at Memphis and it's amazing how they scored 99 points in that game with Chris Paul! They used Eric Bledsoe's speed to have good numbers in transition with 18 fast break points and 5-8 FG! At the same time, the Clippers were great at the rim with 20-28 FG, with their guards attacking very well the basket. Memphis without Rudy Gay struggled on the outside with 1-12 FG from 16-23 feet and 6-20 FG from treys and the only way they would have to be competitive would be via a big game down low and that didn't happen with 18-42 FG at the rim!

For tonight's game at Houston, Chris Paul is doubtful to play tonight, so Eric Bledsoe will have a big role once again tonight. It's interesting to note that they could have on paper struggled on a half court battle against Memphis, but he did great. Tonight's game against the Rockets will suit him much better, as a run and gun game is perfect for his athleticism. Houston has been struggling on offense over their last three games, with offensive ratings of 87.8, 100.0 and 102.5! The main reason for that is their tough schedule. They don't have depth on their roster, they need a lot from their starters and in poor physical spots, there are no miracles: they struggle! However, they had two days rest prior to this game, so they will be ready to roll on their usual crazy pace, especially with the Clippers on a back to back spot.

The Clippers had a monster game last night because Memphis was one-dimensional, as with the Grizzlies struggling on the outside, the team from LA could close the paint successfully. That won't be possible against Houston's good perimeter shooting. I expect this game to be a very fast paced game, with both teams having good offensive games. Therefore, I'll be taking the Over in here.
