NBA - 807 Minnesota Timberwolves @ 808 San Antonio Spurs
Projected Line: 191 points
***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***
I don't like this spot of San Antonio for today, after a very physical at Memphis that went to overtime last Friday night. Tony Parker played 42 minutes, Kahwi Leonard 39 minutes, Tim Duncan 39 minutes and even Tiago Splitter played 31 minutes. Offensively, the team isn't being their usual well oiled machine. In their last three games, San Antonio has committed a total of 55 turnovers
“We’re playing in a crowd a little bit too much, just not moving the ball,” Popovich said. “It’s a little bit of everything. The schedule, a lack of practice, all that stuff.”
This spot doesn't help at all for San Antonio to have a super offensive bounce back game. Minnesota's defense has been struggling, but their schedule has also been very tough with games on the road against Utah, Denver, Oklahoma City and New Orleans, with two home games against Portland and Atlanta in the middle. They have been an excellent perimeter defensive team, excluding the last four games where they've struggled. However, they will be facing San Antonio on a bad spot for them, so they should be able to limit the Spurs's effectiveness from behind the arc,
Minnesota's offense will depend from what San Antonio will be able to do in order to protect the paint against Nikola Pekovic. The truth is that San Antonio is indeed a top team on rim defense by allowing just 60% FG from this area. Considering the fact that Minnesota is struggling a lot on their outside shooting, the Spurs will have an easy defensive game today and they pack the paint and considerably limit Minnesota's offense today. Therefore, I expect a relatively low scoring game in here and so, I'll be taking the Under on this contest on a Double Dime Play!
Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 807/808 Under 199 @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes
