NBA - 503 Minnesota Timberwolves @ 504 Denver Nuggets
Projected Line: Denver by 12 points
It's time for Denver to shine on their home span, after a very tough early schedule. Minnesota has a terrible spot for tonight, as they are on the horrible Utah + Denver back to back spot, but they actually rested their starters during the fourth quarter on their blowout loss to the Jazz last night. The problem is that Minnesota's offense and defense are playing at a level that only benefits Denver. Minnesota keeps not being effective on long shots and yesterday they shot 2-17 from the 3pts line, with Kevin Love shooting 4-14 FG! Having in account, Denver's main defensive problem is to perform close outs to the perimeter where they are just #26 on 3pts defense. On the other side, with Minnesota missing long shots, Denver easily get the rebounds and they have then more chances to have deadly transition plays. while taking advantage of the Wolves terrible transition defense. This is why Utah scored 25 fast break points and shot 9-12 FG on transitions.
Denver is coming from a big win over the Clippers, where even without Ty Lawson, they dished 28 assists, with Andre Miller running the shows. Denver's half court defense is also looking much better right now as well and they will create problems to Minnesota's offense tonight. On the last game between these two teams, Minnesota was on a great spot, while Denver was playing a back to back game. The Wolves took advantage of that to physically dominate the Nuggets with 17 vs 12 on offensive rebounds, 37 vs 24 on free throw attempts and 21 vs 15 on fast break points. However, they still only won the game by 3 points! Today, it's Denver that has the spot edge and I expect them to crush the Wolves tonight. I'm taking Denver in here.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 504 Denver Nuggets (-8) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
