MLB Premium Play 08/13: Chicago White Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays

MLB - 915 Chicago White Sox @ 916 Toronto Blue Jays

(Starting Pitchers: J. Peavy vs C. Villanueva)

Peavy struggled in the midseason due to lack of run support, but he has recovered lately by going 2-1 with a 2.18 ERA on this last three starts. He had a FIP lower than 3.50 on his last four starts and he always faced good offenses in Detroit, Minnesota (twice) and Kansas City (who has been hitting well), so I believe he will be ready tonight to have another good outing, especially against a team with a lineup full of RH batters that Peavy uses to crush (.192 BA vs RH batters).

Toronto will start Villanueva who has been struggling a bit on his last two starts after their good first five starts. He has been pitching okay, however he had just 4 days off rest and this may be a huge hurdle for him to overcome tonight, as on his last five starts he always had at least 5 days off to rest and with the Blue Jays' rotation banged up, he is coming to this game with just 4 days rest plus a season high of 105 pitching on his last start against Tampa Bay. Villanueva also struggled against LH batters with .428 SLG and LH batter Adam Dunn has a .286 BA against him. The White Sox with good LH batters like Dunn, De Aza, Pierzynski and Wise have enough talent to make Villanueva struggle, while Peavy is on a good spot to dominate the banged up Blue Jays. Therefore, I'll take the White Sox in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 915 Chicago White Sox ML (w/ J. Peavy) @ -121 / 1.83 on Betonline
