NBA - 511 Indiana Pacers @ 512 San Antonio Spurs

From all the playoff contenders, Indiana is clearly the team that is playing the worst basketball right now and so, I have no problems in taking the Spurs in such a high line, as I predict San Antonio to win this game by double digits points. Indiana was involved in three close games, but they are 2-1 right now. Fortunately for them, they faced Toronto, Charlotte and Sacramento or they could easily be 0-3 right now! The good news for them is that their defense continues to be a quality unit and it's tough to score near the basket against them. But then again, they faced Toronto, Charlotte and Sacramento, three teams that aren't exactly huge forces on offense. Still, the Pacers had defensive rates of 97.15, 97.09 and 92.13 in those games! They have now the challenge of having to stop the Spurs offense, who is several levels ahead of those three teams. However, I believe Indiana will make a respectable job on defense today, as they are indeed a top defensive team.
The main problem of the Pacers will really be their offense. They are coming from a double overtime game against Sacramento, where they committed 24 turnovers, after having also committed 19 and 19 turnovers in their first two games of the regular season. They keep struggling on floor spacing, their ball movement is terrible and they are committing a lot of turnovers. Roy Hibbert keeps not being fed properly down low and the whole feeling at looking at their offensive plays is that everything is forced, with David West being the only player that has been in good form on this early season.
San Antonio's defense is still a bit inconsistent this season, combining with some amazing periods with some terrible stretches. However, Indiana's disorganized offense will help them today and therefore, I expect an easy win for San Antonio in here, while making a good defensive job. Therefore, I'll be taking both San Antonio and the Under in here.
