NBA - 717 Denver Nuggets @ 718 Golden State Warriors
Projected Line: Denver by 6 points
It looks like Denver has woken up! Coach George Karl has finally set the correct lineups and now Denver is crushing both the rebounds and the paint. After starting with 56% and 50% FG at the rim on their first two games of the season, Denver is now shooting 90-140 (64%) FG, with an absurd volume on this kind of plays! They faced the good frontcourt of the Jazz last night and Denver still crushed them, as Al Jefferson shot 1-9 FG, Paul Millsap 5-11 FG and Derrick Favors 3-8 FG! The Nuggets had also their season high in assists last nice and everybody is playing well, excluding Danilo Gallinari who is struggling right now.
I don't think Golden State will be able to handle Denver's momentum tonight. Andrew Bogut is out and suddenly, the Warriors are getting big time outrebounded once again by grabbing just 46.55%, 48.54% and 45.82% of the rebounds on their last three games. This isn't a surprise as David Lee and Carl Landry are playing at the same time on the frontcourt and with big minutes, while rookie Festus Ezeli still has a lot to learn. Golden State has already struggled this season against the aggressive team of the Grizzlies and things should be similar tonight against the aggressive team of the Nuggets.
David Lee and Klay Thompson are the keys of the Warriors' offense, but Andre Iguodala will be defending Klay Thompson tonight, so Golden State will immediately lose some of their offensive efficiency tonight. Also note that Golden State's offense is far from being at a good level right now, as Stephen Curry is just shooting 36.8% FG, Klay Thompson is shooting 38.4% FG and David Lee is shooting 43.4% FG, a very low number for a big man!
I believe Denver will continue carrying their momentum tonight and they will easily defeat the Warriors in here. Therefore, I'll be taking the Nuggets tonight.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 717 Denver Nuggets (-2) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
