MLB Premium Play 08/25: Boston Red Sox @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 929 Boston Red Sox @ 930 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: J. Peavy vs C. Capuano)

Jake Peavy will start for the Red Sox tonight and after a disastrous start at Kansas City when he was red hot, he bounced back well with back to back quality outings at Toronto and San Francisco. His problem this season besides his health has been the homeruns with a 12.1% HR/FB rate and a 46.2% FB%. This is why his bad starts are always a synonym of homeruns allowed. The good news for Peavy today is that he will pitch tonight on an extremely pitcher-friendly park, so he should be fine tonight.

The Dodgers will start Chris Capuano and he is coming from giving up three earned runs in five innings against Miami last Tuesday. He has been struggling lately with 6, 10 and 10 hits allowed on his last three outings, while having poor strikeout numbers, with a combined of 7 strikeouts in 14.1 innings, something that has high pitch counts as a consequence with 16.2, 17.2 and 19.8 P/IP on his last three games. The Dodgers were able to still win these three games because they scored 7, 5 and 6 runs, but I don't think they will be able to do that against Peavy tonight. Boston isn't a top offensive against LH pitchers, but they are hitting above .300 BA vs LHP on their last 10 games and they were able to cause damage on Ryu yesterday. Therefore, I believe Boston has an excellent matchup to win tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here.

MLB Premium Play 08/23: Boston Red Sox @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 929 Boston Red Sox @ 930 Los Angeles Dodgers
(Starting Pitchers: J. Lackey vs R. Nolasco)

This is a good spot for Boston, as they had a day off yesterday, while the Dodgers played last night in Miami. Besides that, the Dodgers are coming from three series against lowly teams (NY Mets, Philadelphia, Miami) and they will now have a much tougher series against the Red Sox. The Dodgers "spent" their two aces Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke against Miami, so they'll have to start Ricky Nolasco on the first game of this series. Nolasco had four decent performances in August, but three of them were against subpar offenses (Philadelphia, NY Mets and Chicago Cubs) that are the bottom 10 on hitting against RH pitchers. His outing at St Louis was indeed game with no runs allowed in five innings, but he had a 20.6 P/IP ratio, not impressive at all. Boston is a very patient lineup and therefore, they will eventually put Nolasco in trouble tonight.

On the other side, John Lackey will start for Boston tonight and even though he isn't at the same level that he was a few months ago, he keeps being solid. In fact, Lackey allowed just one earned run in 6.2 innings against the Yankees and that's a good sign for him. Lackey's only issue was a high 14.1% HR/FB rate, but that won't be a problem at the Dodgers stadium. Lackey had solid numbers in August with 3.20 ERA, 3.29 FIP and 3.47 xFIP, so I believe he will give Boston a SP edge tonight. If we combine that with a better spot, I believe the Red Sox have great value tonight.

MLB Premium Play 08/09: Tampa Bay Rays @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 929 Tampa Bay Rays @ 930 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: D. Price vs C. Capuano)

***TRIPLE DIME PLAY***

This isn't a good spot for the LA Dodgers, as this will be their first home game after a road trip, without any day off in the middle. On the other hand, Tampa Bay will come to this game in bounce back mode, after losing both games of a 2-games series against Arizona. The Rays will start David Price tonight, who held the Giants to one run in nine innings last Saturday. He has been pitching well since he returned from the DL, but he has been even better as of late, with dominant performances at Boston. Price is now attacking more the strike zone, something that is allowing him to go further on his outings. The main problem with that has been the high HR/FB% with 13.1%, but that won't be a problem at the Dodgers Stadium. The Dodgers won't start Hanley Ramirez, Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford tonight, so Price should dominate in here.

Chris Capuano will start for the Dodgers tonight and he is coming from six shutout innings last Saturday against the Cubs. He has been super inconsistent as of late by getting pounded big time or being simply excellent on his outings. He has been facing poor hitting teams versus LH pitchers lately: Cubs #22; Cincinnati #11; Toronto #17; Colorado twice #28; Philadelphia #18. Things will be much different tonight against Tampa Bay, the team that is #1 in the league on hitting versus LH pitchers! Capuano struggles against RH batters (.283 BA, .354 wOBA and 4.38 FIP), so the Rays will use a lineup loaded of RH batters to take advantage of that. With the Rays having a clear SP edge and a spot edge, I believe they will pick up a comfortable win tonight. Therefore, I'll be taking Tampa Bay tonight on a Triple Dime Play!

MLB Premium Play 08/07: Los Angeles Dodgers @ St Louis Cardinals

MLB - 909 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 910 St Louis Cardinals

(Starting Pitchers: R. Nolasco vs S. Miller)

The Dodgers will start Ricky Nolasco tonight, who is coming from three earned runs against the Cubs last Thursday. This was a lucky outing for him, as the three runs allowed came from three single home runs! Nolasco allowed 3, 2, 2 and 3 earned runs on his last four starts, while having quite high P/IP ratios of 16.4, 17.3, 16.9 and 16.4! His FIP has been constantly higher than his ERA and so, I expect him to struggle tonight against the Cardinals, who are a top hitting team against RH pitchers!

Shelby Miller will start for St Louis tonight and he has been starting the second half of the season quite well. He pitched well at Atlanta and at Cincinnati, but it's at home where he has been amazing with a 1.74 ERA, 2.57 FIP and 2.90 xFIP! With the Dodgers not having Hanley Ramirez and A.J. Ellis in the starting lineup tonight, Miller's task will be easier and I expect him to have another good home outing tonight, leading his team to a comfortable win tonight. Therefore, I'll be taking the Cardinals in here.

MLB Premium Play 08/05: Los Angeles Dodgers @ St Louis Cardinals

MLB - 903 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 904 St Louis Cardinals

(Starting Pitchers: Z. Greinke vs A. Wainwright)

The Dodgers will be trying to beat a record tonight, as they will be looking for their 15th road win in a row, which would be the longest road streak since the 1957 Cincinnati Reds. But this won't be easy at all for them. Yasiel Puig is banged up with a wrist injury, while Hanley Ramirez is even doubtful for tonight with a shoulder injury. The Dodgers will start Zack Greinke tonight, who will have a tough task tonight, as the Cardinals have woken up on their weekend series at Cincinnati, having scored 13, 13 and 15 runs in three of their last four games! Greinke is coming from four runs allowed in seven innings last Thursday against the Reds. He is currently posting a career-worst 7.02 K/9 and 2.97 BB/9 and he struggled in the only start that he had against a good team on his last six outings, that outing against the Reds last Thursday. Now with St Louis being red hot, I expect them to pound Greinke tonight.

On the other side, the Cardinals will start Adam Wainwright, who is coming from allowing four earned runs in seven innings against Pittsburgh last Wednesday. Even though the Cardinals lost in Wainwright's last two starts, he pitched well in both outings, with a 3.61 and 3.04 FIP. It's also important to note that he played on the road at Pittsburgh and at Atlanta, two top teams who are especially tough when they played at home! Wainwright will now face the Dodgers in the middle of a streak, but these wins have been happening due to great pitching, as the offense has been decent, but not very impressive. Now with Greinke struggling against the red hot Cardinals and with Wainwright having a quality outing, I can only expect the Cardinals to win tonight's game.

MLB Premium Play 07/27: Cincinnati Reds @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 963 Cincinnati Reds @ 964 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: B. Arroyo vs H. Ryu)

I faded Hyun-Jin Ryu on his last outing at Arizona, but his offense saved him, as he allowed five earned runs in five innings. Even though Ryu showed good promise early in the season, this is his first season in the MLB and he is starting to wear down a bit. This has been clear on his month-by-month split stats:

April: 30.3% K%, 6.6% BB%, .232 BA
May: 15.4% K%, 8.8% BB%, .210 BA
June: 13.9% K%, 8.3% BB%, .280 BA
July: 12.0% K%, 9.3% BB%, .294 BA

Less strikeouts, more walks and also more hittable! To make things worse for Ryu, he has been facing subpar teams on hitting versus LH pitchers and he still struggled:

TOR     #15 w/ .707
ARI      #17 w/ .704
SF 2x    #21 w/ .697
PHI      #13 w/ .708
NYY      #28 w/ .650

Now against Cincinnati who is #5 with .732 OPS, I believe Ryu will struggle big time in here.

On the other side, Bronson Arroyo is coming from a complete game shutdown against San Francisco last Monday. Arroyo has the tendency to struggle against LH batters with .286 BA, .348 wOBA, 5.23 FIP and 4.67 xFIP, so this is why his two worst starts on his last ten games were against Oakland and Cleveland, two teams full of LH batters. This isn't the case with the Dodgers, who have just three LH regular hitters in Crawford, Gonzalez and Ethier. Arroyo also has some issues with homeruns, but that won't be a problem on LA's pitcher-friendly park. Arroyo is coming from facing three hot offenses in a row (San Francisco, Atlanta, Seattle) and he played well in all of them. Therefore, I expect him to have another good outing tonight, while Ryu should struggle, giving the Reds a lot of value as underdogs tonight. I'm taking Cincinnati in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/26: Cincinnati Reds @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 911 Cincinnati Reds @ 912 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: H. Bailey vs C. Kershaw)

Homer Bailey will be the Reds' SP for tonight and he has been struggling a bit since his no-hitter. He allowed three earned runs against Pittsburgh on his last outing, while throwing 121 pitches, so this is a poor spot for him. Over his last 10 games, he had a similar spot when he threw 120 pitches at Chicago against the Cubs and then, with four days of rest like for tonight, he allowed six earned runs on his following game against the Brewers over seven innings! Prior to that, he had another game where he threw 116 pitches also against the Cubs and then, on his following start, he allowed seven earned runs against Cleveland in just 3.2 innings! It's clear that Bailey really struggles on this kind of spot and so, I believe he will have problems tonight.

Clayton Kershaw had an easy schedule on his last six starts, but the truth is that he has been amazing and the 2.01 season ERA doesn't lie! He is coming from just 97 pitches thrown on his last outing at Washington, so he is fresh for tonight's game. I believe the Dodgers will have a clear SP edge in tonight's game and so, I'll be taking them in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 912 Los Angeles Dodgers RL -1 (w/ C. Kershaw) @ -127 / 1.79 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 07/20: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Washington Nationals

MLB - 905 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 906 Washington Nationals

(Starting Pitchers: Z. Greinke vs G. Gonzalez)

Washington lost last night's game because of their lack of efficiency, as they went 1-9 on RISP against Ricky Nolasco yesterday. I believe that the Nationals are being underrated in tonight's game, as the pitching duel is very favorable to them. Zack Greinke will start for the Dodgers in here and he is being very inconsistent this season, while being really subpar on the road with a 5.03 ERA, 4.12 FIP and 4.45 xFIP! However, the truth is that Greinke had two super outings on his last two games with no runs allowed in seven innings at Arizona and in a complete game against Colorado. These were definitely good performances, but let's not forget that both Arizona and Colorado are currently #28 and #30 in offense over the past 14 games! Therefore, I believe the Nationals will eventually put Greinke in some trouble tonight.

On the other hand, Gio Gonzalez has been very solid lately. He is allowing just .205 BA this season and so, it's very hard to create big damage against him, even though his command lets him down at times. His worst starts of the season were connected to a high number of walks, but even though the Dodgers are hitting well right now, the truth is that they don't have a patient lineup with a 7.5% BB% (#22) over the last 14 games and 5.9% BB% (#23) over the last 7 games! Therefore, Gio Gonzalez has in the Dodgers a great matchup and so, he should dominate tonight. I expect a bounce back game for the Nationals in here, with the solid pitching of Gio Gonzalez leading the way. Therefore, I'll be taking Washington tonight.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 906 Washington Nationals ML (w/ G. Gonzalez) @ -132 / 1.76 on Bookmaker

MLB Premium Play 07/10: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

MLB - 909 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 910 Arizona Diamondbacks

(Starting Pitchers: H. Ryu vs T. Skaggs)

The Dodgers just keep winning and they are 2-0 on this series. They will start Hyun-Jin Ryu tonight, who allowed two runs in 6.2 innings against the Giants last Friday. He got away from this outing with success, but his advanced numbers weren't good once again due to a poor 3/3 K/BB ratio. This was the fifth time in a row that he had subpar starts and Philadelphia was the only opponent that came to face him while being on a good offensive run! I believe the rookie Ryu is starting to struggle and therefore, I believe he will have some problems tonight against Arizona.

Tyler Skaggs will start for the Dbacks and he has been impressive lately! After a great 13-strikeout outing in AAA, he crushed Colorado in the majors on an eight-innings shutout! Skaggs has been showing some super stuff lately and even though the Dodgers are red hot on offense right now, I believe that Skaggs is in great form and that he will be able to slow down the Dodgers tonight. Therefore, I believe the Dbacks are underrated for tonight's game. I believe Ryu is currently on fade alert, while Skaggs has been very impressive lately and so, I'll be taking Arizona in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/09: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

MLB - 959 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 960 Arizona Diamondbacks

(Starting Pitchers: R. Nolasco vs I. Kennedy)

Ricky Nolasco will start for the Dodgers for the first time after being traded from Miami. He is coming from a great start at Atlanta and according to my numbers, he has pitched quite well in all his last four outings, with two of those games being against red hot offenses: Atlanta and St Louis! Nolasco is in nice form right now and I believe he will be able to have a positive outing on his first game with the Dodgers' uniform.

On the other hand, the Dbacks will start Ian Kennedy tonight, who is coming from a nice outing at NY against the Mets, where he allowed two earned runs in seven innings, while having a 8/2 K/BB ratio. Even though Kennedy had a nice outing against the Mets, he threw 116 pitches in that game and he had just 4 days of rest between games, so this isn't a good spot for him. The Dodgers are #1 in the league on offense over the last 14 days and #3 in over the last 30 days, so I believe they will eventually make Kennedy struggle tonight. The LA team has a SP + offense edges in here, so I believe they have great value as underdogs tonight.

MLB Premium Play 07/08: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

MLB - 907 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 908 Arizona Diamondbacks

(Starting Pitchers: Z. Greinke vs R. Delgado)

Arizona absolutely crushed Colorado over the weekend with three wins in three games, while outscoring the Rockies by 22-2! The Dbacks' showed some good hitting in all three games with .303, .343 and .344 BA! They will face Zack Greinke tonight, who struggled at Coors Field last Wednesday by walking seven batters and allowing five runs in five innings. Greinke is currently struggling and he had 8.27, 5.78, 6.27 and 5.21 FIP in four of his last five games! One of those starts was against Arizona, where he had a nice 2.57 ERA, but with the advanced numbers telling another story with 5.21 FIP! That game was played at LA on a pitcher-friendly park, while Arizona's offense was struggling. Things tonight will be very different in Arizona and I believe Greinke is going to struggle today.

On the other hand, Randall Delgado will start for the Dbacks and he is coming from his first win of the season over the Mets last Wednesday, on an outing where he allowed two runs in seven innings. Delgado's 3.24 ERA might look good, but he has two clear red flags: .296 BA allowed and a 19.2% HR/FB rate! Thanks to these two factors, his advanced numbers are much worse than his ERA: 4.39 FIP! Delgado will pitching tonight against the red hot Dodgers, who are #5 in ISO with .183 over the last 14 days, so I wouldn't be surprised if Delgado gets punished with some home runs tonight. I believe both pitchers will struggle tonight against two very confident offenses and therefore, I'll be taking the Over in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/07: Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Francisco Giants

MLB - 961 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 962 San Francisco Giants

(Starting Pitchers: C. Kershaw vs C. Gaudin)

The Dodgers will start Clayton Kershaw today, who keeps dominating the league. He is coming from a complete game shutout against the Rockies and his 1.93 ERA says it all. Kershaw struggled early on the season to win decisions due to some terrible run support (he is 7-5 with a 1.93 ERA!), but things are different now, as the Dodgers have the #2 offense in the league over the last 14 days!

San Francisco will start Chad Gaudin today and he is coming from the DL. He surprised a bit on his first starts, but the surprise factor was completely gone on his last two outings and with no strikeout punch (1/2 and 0/1 K/BB ratios), he got pounded. With the Dodgers being red hot right now and with Kershaw in the mount, I expect Gaudin to struggle today, giving the LA team an easy win today. Therefore, I'll be taking the Dodgers in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/05: Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Francisco Giants

MLB - 963 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 964 San Francisco Giants

(Starting Pitchers: H. Ryu vs M. Cain)

The LA Dodgers will start Hyun-Jin Ryu tonight and he seems to be hitting a wall lately, after a great start of the season. However, he seems to be able to limit damage quite well, with a 2.70 ERA in June after a 2.38 ERA in May, but his advanced stats tell another story: .210 BA in May vs .280 BA in June; 3.65 FIP in May vs 4.12 FIP in June! According to my ranks, Ryu faced just one good offensive team on his last four starts and it was indeed on his last start against Philadelphia. Ryu has been using the fact that he is a rookie to surprise his opponents, but he won't be able to do that tonight, as he will face the Giants for the fourth time this season. He dominated San Francisco on his first start of the season, but then he was worse on the following two outings. So, it will be up to the Giants' lineup to expose Ryu's struggles tonight. San Francisco didn't play yesterday at Cincinnati due to the bad weather and I believe they will have a decent offensive spot tonight. Not only they have a 111 wRC+ at home versus 84 on the road, as they are also #6 in the league versus LH pitchers, while they are just #17 versus RH pitchers. So, I expect San Francisco to be able to put Ryu in trouble tonight.

On the other hand, Matt Cain will start for the Giants tonight and he is pitching much better as of late. His last five starts were always below 4.00 FIP, even though he has been facing an easy schedule as of late. Cain is a flyball pitcher and so, he likes to play at home on a pitcher-friendly park. He has been dominating the Dodgers this season with one and zero earned runs allowed on two games against them earlier on the season, so I believe Cain will be able to have another good outing tonight. I believe the Giants will have a clear SP edge tonight and therefore, I expect them to pick up a comfortable win in here.

MLB Premium Play 06/27: Philadelphia Phillies @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 955 Philadelphia Phillies @ 956 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: J. Pettibone vs Z. Greinke)

The Dodgers swept San Francisco on a 3-game series and their 4-2 win yesterday was easier than it looks at first right. They outhit the Giants by 12-5, with the Dodgers having a 4-11 RISP! The LA team is currently hitting very well and their spot is better than Philadelphia's as well. The Dodgers are on a home-home series spot, while the Phillies traveled from San Diego and even though that isn't a big trip, they played a 13 innings game last night!

The Phillies are starting Jonathan Pettibone tonight, even though he is struggling with a back injury. His 5.68 ERA on his last five starts also aren't impressive. On a 4-days rest spot, I expect him to struggle big time tonight against a confident Dodgers' lineup. Pettibone's command has been terrible with 1/1, 1/1, 4/2 and 1/2 K/BB ratios, with no strikeout punch, so this is another reason for him to struggle tonight against the Dodgers. The LA team is starting Zach Greinke tonight, who held the Padres to just one run on eight innings last Saturday. He got revenge over San Diego and he has been pitching well since returning from the DL. If we exclude four games where he struggles (@Pittsburgh, @Colorado, @LA Angels, @Milwaukee), he has been pitching well and it's important to note that these four games were against good offenses! Greinke will now face the Phillies on a tough spot for them, so I expect him to dominate in here. With the Dodgers pounding Pettibone, I expect the LA team to pick up an easy home win tonight.

MLB Premium Play 06/25: San Francisco Giants @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 955 San Francisco Giants @ 956 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: M. Kickham vs S. Fife)

San Francisco will start Michael Kickham, who had a spot start on May 28 at Oakland and he couldn't get out of the second inning! He has posted a 4.81 ERA at Triple-A Fresno this season, so he's not impressive at all. The Dodgers are a great team on hitting versus LH pitchers, so this is a great spot for them to pound Kickham tonight. On the other hand, the LA Dodgers will start Stephen Fife, who has been pitching great lately. He took a no-decision last Thursday at San Diego, where he allowed just one earned run on six innings. Fife is posting a 3.25 ERA and 27/8 K/BB on 27.2 innings over five starts this year. This will be Fife's fifth start in a row and he has been very solid in all outings. I expect him to have a decent outing tonight and with the Dodgers pounding Kickham, I'll be taking the LA team in here.

MLB Premium Play 06/21: Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres

MLB - 959 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 960 San Diego Padres

(Starting Pitchers: C. Kershaw vs C. Richard)

The LA Dodgers will start Clayton Kershaw and he is back into domination mode with one earned run allowed on seven innings on each of his last two starts. He is being incredibly good especially against LH batters with a 0.92 FIP! This is a revenge game for him against the Padres and he lost against San Diego on June 2, even though he allowed just two runs in that outing.  I expect Kershaw to have another dominating performance tonight against the Padres.

San Diego will start Clayton Richard tonight, who is coming from his best start of the season, where he allowed just one run on seven hits against Arizona. Richard had just one strike out in that game, but his groundballs worked well. However, it's important to note that Arizona is just #21 on hitting vs LH pitchers this season, while the Dodgers are #14 and with a tendency to improve with Hanley Ramirez back. Even though Richard is coming from a nice outing, he has been one of the worst SP's of the league this season and so, we can't trust him.

The SP edge favoring the Dodgers in here is huge and so, I expect the Dodgers' lineup to be a bit more clutch than they were yesterday, getting a comfortable win in here.

MLB Premium Play 06/14: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Pittsburgh Pirates

MLB - 901 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 902 Pittsburgh Pirates

(Starting Pitchers: S. Fife vs J. Locke)

The Dodgers will start a road trip tonight, after going 1-4 on their last five games at home. Stephen Fife will start for them tonight and he is coming from back to back good starts against San Diego and Atlanta, after a stint on the DL. He had good K/BB ratios with 5/2 and 7/1, but the problem is that he has been allowing too many hits with a .323 BA rating! This isn't good, but the Pirates isn't the right opponent to take advantage of it with just .238 BA (#26) this season and .229 BA over the last 30 days (#28).

On the other hand, the Pirates will start Jeff Locke tonight, who is coming from an outing in Chicago against the Cubs, where he allowed seven batters! He was coming from an outing where he had thrown 103 pitches and with just 4 days of rest, he struggled. He had now five days of rest for this game, but he has curiously struggled against the Dodgers at LA earlier on this season with four runs allowed in six innings, on his first start of the season. In fact, the Dodgers' roster is currently hitting .394 BA and .887 OPS in 33 AB's! I believe the Dodgers at these odds have great value and so, I'll be taking them in here.

MLB Premium Play 05/21: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Milwaukee Brewers

MLB - 907 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 908 Milwaukee Brewers

(Starting Pitchers: Z. Greinke vs H. Burgos)

Zach Greinke is back to Milwaukee! Due to some bad results, it has been rumored that the Dodgers' coach might be fired, but the athletes want him to stay and they are fighting to keep him in LA. Yesterday, Clayton Kershaw had another impressive outing by crushing Milwaukee to put his season ERA at 1.35 ERA! Zach Greinke returned from a collarbone injury against Washington, in a start where he looked good. He was limited to 83 pitches last Wednesday in order to ease him back into action. His stuff was dominant, while he also appeared to be moving forward without problems. Milwaukee has been struggling lately on their hitting and Greinke dominates RH batters without issues, as seen last season, where he had 2.80 FIP and 3.23 xFIP against them! Therefore, I expect Greinke to have a good outing tonight.

Hiram Burgos will start tonight and after getting crushed at Cincinnati, he was average at Pittsburgh with 8 hits and 3 runs allowed in 5.0 innings, while having a 3/1 K/BB ratio. He is still looking quite limited in my opinion and he has already faced the Dodgers this season in April, where he struggled with a 4.50 ERA, 5.70 FIP and 5.94 xFIP! With Greinke dominating a struggling Brewers' offense and with Burgos being limited, I expect the Dodgers to pick up a comfortable road win tonight.

MLB Premium Play 05/17: Los Angeles Dodgers @ Atlanta Braves

MLB - 907 Los Angeles Dodgers @ 908 Atlanta Braves

(Starting Pitchers: H. Ryu vs P. Maholm)

Hyun-Jin Ryu has a nice spot against the Braves tonight, as he is being a strikeout machine and Atlanta's batters are prone to getting stroke out with a 24.6% K%! On the other hand, Paul Maholm had a super start of the season, but he has been struggling since. His strikeout numbers are decreasing, while the walks are increasing with 3, 2, 2, 3 and 3 walks on his last five starts. The Dodgers' offense has been surprisingly well in hitting against LH pitchers with a .789 OPS (#5 in the league), with a .274 BA on their last 10 games! With Maholm struggling tonight and with Ryu striking out a lot of hitters tonight, I see the Dodgers having a nice chance for the upset tonight.
