MLB Premium Play 08/26: Cincinnati Reds @ St Louis Cardinals

MLB - 951 Cincinnati Reds @ 952 St Louis Cardinals

(Starting Pitchers: M. Leake vs T. Lyons)

Cincinnati will start Mike Leake tonight, who has been poor lately. He has a 6.26 ERA on his last four starts, while allowing four or more runs in three of these outings. Leake is having an inevitable regression, as his ERA wasn't supported by the advanced numbers. He allowed four, four and seven earned runs in three of his last four games, while his only good start being against San Diego, whose offense struggles a lot against RH pitchers. With a 6.26 ERA, 4.51 FIP and 4.25 xFIP in August, I believe the Cardinals will pound him tonight.

On the other side, Tyler Lyons will start for the Cardinals and he has a 5.09 ERA in seven starts this season. His last outing was last Tuesday at Milwaukee, where he pitched for two innings. He has already faced Cincinnati this season and he heavily struggled with a 6.75 ERA, 7.72 FIP and 4.40 xFIP! He isn't impressing me one bit and I believe the Reds will put in trouble once again tonight. Therefore, I believe both pitchers will struggle in here and so, I'll be taking the Over.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 951/952 Over 9 (w/ M. Leake & T. Lyons) @ -105 / 1.95 on Bookmaker

MLB Premium Play 08/20: Arizona Diamondbacks @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 957 Arizona Diamondbacks @ 958 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: P. Corbin vs T. Cingrani)

We will have on this game two excellent young pitchers, who are quite similar and on a similar form right now as well. Tony Cingrani will start for the Reds and he is coming from a nice win at Milwaukee, where he had a 9/1 K/BB ratio. He had also impressed against San Diego, but he has an issue with high P/IP ratios that prevents him from going deep into the games.

On the other side, Patrick Corbin will start for the Dbacks and he has been pitching very well lately. He has an impressive 27.7% and 20.0% K%% over the last two months and he is coming to tonight's game will similar numbers to Cingrani's. The key in here is that Arizona's offense is much better in hitting against LH pitchers than Cincinnati's lineup. This is why that Arizona is hitting .284 BA against LH pitchers over their last 10 games, while Cincinnati is just hitting .182 BA! Therefore, I expect a close game and so, I'll take Arizona in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 957 Arizona Diamondbacks RL +1 (w/ P. Corbin) @ -119 / 1.84 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 08/12: Cincinnati Reds @ Chicago Cubs

MLB - 953 Cincinnati Reds @ 954 Chicago Cubs

(Starting Pitchers: M. Latos vs T. Wood)

Cincinnati will start Mat Latos tonight, who has been having a nice season. He has some issues in facing LH batters (3.89 FIP and 4.11 xFIP), but he isn't terrible against them. However, this was the main reason why he struggled on his last two outings against Cincinnati and Atlanta. Things will be much different tonight at Chicago against the Cubs, as he will be facing just three lefties:

1. David DeJesus (L) CF
2. Junior Lake (R) LF
3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B
4. Welington Castillo (R) C
5. Nate Schierholtz (L) RF
6. Starlin Castro (R) SS
7. Donnie Murphy (R) 3B
8. Darwin Barney (R) 2B
9. Travis Wood (R) P

Therefore, I expect Latos to have a good outing, as he has excellent against RH batters this season. On the other side, the Cubs will start Travis Wood, who has been alternating good starts with poor ones. He is coming from a nice start at Philadelphia, with a 7/1 K/BB ratio, but that hasn't been the norm. His advanced stats are much worse than his ERA and that is a clear sign for a regression in the near future. This will be his fourth start this season against the Reds and he is allowing .267 BA and .795 OPS in 105 AB's. The surprise effect is completely gone and the Reds will score a decent number of runs tonight. Therefore, I expect Cincinnati to pick up a comfortable win tonight.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 953 Cincinnati Reds RL -1 (w/ M. Latos) @ -116 / 1.86 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 08/10: San Diego Padres @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 955 San Diego Padres @ 956 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: T. Ross vs T. Cingrani)

San Diego is really a machine when it comes to hit against LH pitchers: .314 BA versus LH pitchers on their last 10 games! They'll face Tony Cingrani tonight, who has been pitching well, but he has a 4.06 FIP and 3.79 xFIP against RH batters and he will face a lineup full of righties tonight:

1. Chris Denorfia (R) RF
2. Will Venable (L) CF
3. Chase Headley (S) 3B
4. Jesus Guzman (R) LF
5. Yonder Alonso (L) 1B
6. Jedd Gyorko (R) 2B
7. Logan Forsythe (R) SS
8. Nick Hundley (R) C
9. Tyson Ross (R) P

Tyron Ross will start for the Padres and he is coming from three starts in a row where he was great with 3.71, 1.67 and 2.55 FIP, while having a good command. He is a groundball pitcher, so I believe he will make the Reds struggle on their first game ever against him. I expect this game to be close, so I'll take San Diego on the runline.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 955 San Diego Padres RL +1.5 (w/ T. Ross) @ -125 / 1.80 on Bookmaker

MLB Premium Play 08/04: St Louis Cardinals @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 951 St Louis Cardinals @ 952 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: L. Lynn vs M. Leake)

Mike Leake is starting today for Cincinnati and even though he has a 2.59 ERA, the truth is that his advanced numbers are much worse with 3.98 FIP, 3.99 xFIP and 4.20 SIERA! Leake is coming from another outing where he got away of it without any issues, as he didn't allow a single run in seven innings in San Diego last Monday. He keeps being one of the luckiest pitchers in the league this season, but luck might change today against a good hitting team like the Cardinals. Prior to the outing at San Diego, Leake performed a miracle at San Francisco, where he allowed just one run in six innings, even though he allowed 12 hits! Now against a Cardinals roster that is hitting .306 BA and .757 OPS against him in 108 AB's, I believe Leake will finally start regressing today.

St Louis will start Lance Lynn, who allowed one run on three hits on his last outing (six innings) last Tuesday against the Pirates. Lynn struggled a bit in June and July, but he has since bounced back with two excellent outings against Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The Cardinals are 3-0 against Cincinnati this season with Lynn in the mount, as he is simply amazing versus RH batters with 2.11 FIP and 2.80 xFIP! Cincinnati's lineup has just three LH batters (Bruce, Votto, Choo), so I expect Lynn to have another good outing today and help his team in today's game. Therefore, I'll be taking the Cardinals in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 951 St Louis Cardinals ML (w/ L. Lynn) @ +124 / 2.24 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 08/03: St Louis Cardinals @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 909 St Louis Cardinals @ 910 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: J. Westbrook vs T. Cingrani)

St Louis will start Jake Westbrook tonight, who allowed four runs in five innings against Pittsburgh last Monday. Even though he has a 2.95 season ERA, the truth is that Westbrook isn't being that impressive at all, as his advanced numbers are quite poor with 4.01 FIP, 4.58 xFIP and 4.81 SIERA! He'll be regressing a lot soon, especially when he keeps having more walks than strikeouts with a K/BB ratio of 0.97! He had a complete game shutout against Cincinnati on his second start of the season, so I believe the Reds will want to get revenge out of that tonight, especially after their humiliating blowout loss yesterday.

On the other hand, Tony Cingrani is coming from one of the best starts that someone had this season by completing dominating the Dodgers on the road, with a 0.00 ERA, 0.33 FIP and 1.33 xFIP! He is obviously in great form right now and he is yet to face the Cardinals, so he will also have the surprise effect helping him tonight. I believe Cincinnati will have a clear SP edge in tonight's matchup, while they will be also looking to bounce back after their blowout loss last night, so I believe the Reds will have a comfortable win tonight. Therefore, I'll be taking the Reds in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 910 Cincinnati Reds RL -1 (w/ T. Cingrani) @ -116 / 1.86 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 08/02: St Louis Cardinals @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 957 St Louis Cardinals @ 958 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: S. Miller vs B. Arroyo)

Both teams have been poor as of late, but they are actually both coming from a win on their last game. Shelby Miller will start for the Cardinals tonight and he is in complete decline right now. He allowed three runs (two earned) in 5.2 innings against Atlanta last Sunday and even though he had a 2.78 ERA in July, the truth is that his advanced numbers told another story with 4.06 FIP and 4.10 xFIP, while also doubling his BB% with 10.5%! No wonder he can't go deep on his starts anymore!

On the other hand, Bronson Arroyo will start for the Reds tonight and I believe he will have a nice spot in here. St Louis is coming from five games in four days at Pittsburgh and so, this won't be a nice spot for them, as they had to travel to Cincinnati, while the Reds had an off day yesterday. Arroyo has been decent on his last five starts, where he hasn't allowed more than 5 earned runs in any of these outings, even though he faced tough opponents like the Dodgers, Atlanta or Seattle. He doesn't have great career numbers against St Louis, but he allowed just two earned runs on each of his starts against St Louis. I see Cincinnati having a nice spot + SP edge for tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 958 Cincinnati Reds ML (w/ B. Arroyo) @ -107 / 1.93 on Bovada

MLB Premium Play 07/30: Cincinnati Reds @ San Diego Padres

MLB - 913 Cincinnati Reds @ 914 San Diego Padres

(Starting Pitchers: M. Latos vs E. Volquez)

***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***

Mat Latos will start for Cincinnati tonight and he is coming from a win against one of the hottest teams in the league right now: the Dodgers! Latos played well on his last six starts (only some problems against Pittsburgh) and this is impressive as he faced the Dodgers, Atlanta, Texas and Arizona during this span, with all games being on the road! His strikeout numbers were also quite impressive! On the other hand, Edinson Volquez has been quite the opposite, with a poor control and allowing 3, 3, 8 and 4 earned runs on his last four starts. Cincinnati is a patient offense (#4 in BB% with 9.0%), so they will make Volquez work tonight. I see Cincinnati having a huge SP edge tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here for an easy win in a Double Dime Play!

MLB Premium Play 07/29: Cincinnati Reds @ San Diego Padres

MLB - 959 Cincinnati Reds @ 960 San Diego Padres

(Starting Pitchers: M. Leake vs S. O'Sullivan)

Cincinnati's offense was horrible this weekend with .086, .069 and .188 BA on their last three games! They'll start Mike Leake tonight, a SP that is currently on my fade alert list. I faded him on his last start at San Francisco, in a game where the Giants were only able to score one run against Leake, even though they had 12 hits and 2 walks! Leake may have a 2.79 ERA, but his 4.10 FIP shows that he is ready to regress at any point now. San Diego's offense is #7 in the league over the last 14 days, so they are in good form and they should be able to cause problems to Leake tonight.

Sean O'Sullivan allowed just three runs (two earned) over 6.1 innings against the Brewers last Wednesday. He allowed two earned runs in each of his two starts and he has been decent until now. Also with the Reds' lineup slumping, O'Sullivan should be able to have another decent outing today. I believe San Diego is currently in better form than Cincinnati, so I expect them to make this game competitive. So, I'll be taking the Padres tonight.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 960 San Diego Padres RL +1 (w/ S. O'Sullivan) @ +100 / 2.00 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 07/27: Cincinnati Reds @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 963 Cincinnati Reds @ 964 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: B. Arroyo vs H. Ryu)

I faded Hyun-Jin Ryu on his last outing at Arizona, but his offense saved him, as he allowed five earned runs in five innings. Even though Ryu showed good promise early in the season, this is his first season in the MLB and he is starting to wear down a bit. This has been clear on his month-by-month split stats:

April: 30.3% K%, 6.6% BB%, .232 BA
May: 15.4% K%, 8.8% BB%, .210 BA
June: 13.9% K%, 8.3% BB%, .280 BA
July: 12.0% K%, 9.3% BB%, .294 BA

Less strikeouts, more walks and also more hittable! To make things worse for Ryu, he has been facing subpar teams on hitting versus LH pitchers and he still struggled:

TOR     #15 w/ .707
ARI      #17 w/ .704
SF 2x    #21 w/ .697
PHI      #13 w/ .708
NYY      #28 w/ .650

Now against Cincinnati who is #5 with .732 OPS, I believe Ryu will struggle big time in here.

On the other side, Bronson Arroyo is coming from a complete game shutdown against San Francisco last Monday. Arroyo has the tendency to struggle against LH batters with .286 BA, .348 wOBA, 5.23 FIP and 4.67 xFIP, so this is why his two worst starts on his last ten games were against Oakland and Cleveland, two teams full of LH batters. This isn't the case with the Dodgers, who have just three LH regular hitters in Crawford, Gonzalez and Ethier. Arroyo also has some issues with homeruns, but that won't be a problem on LA's pitcher-friendly park. Arroyo is coming from facing three hot offenses in a row (San Francisco, Atlanta, Seattle) and he played well in all of them. Therefore, I expect him to have another good outing tonight, while Ryu should struggle, giving the Reds a lot of value as underdogs tonight. I'm taking Cincinnati in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/26: Cincinnati Reds @ Los Angeles Dodgers

MLB - 911 Cincinnati Reds @ 912 Los Angeles Dodgers

(Starting Pitchers: H. Bailey vs C. Kershaw)

Homer Bailey will be the Reds' SP for tonight and he has been struggling a bit since his no-hitter. He allowed three earned runs against Pittsburgh on his last outing, while throwing 121 pitches, so this is a poor spot for him. Over his last 10 games, he had a similar spot when he threw 120 pitches at Chicago against the Cubs and then, with four days of rest like for tonight, he allowed six earned runs on his following game against the Brewers over seven innings! Prior to that, he had another game where he threw 116 pitches also against the Cubs and then, on his following start, he allowed seven earned runs against Cleveland in just 3.2 innings! It's clear that Bailey really struggles on this kind of spot and so, I believe he will have problems tonight.

Clayton Kershaw had an easy schedule on his last six starts, but the truth is that he has been amazing and the 2.01 season ERA doesn't lie! He is coming from just 97 pitches thrown on his last outing at Washington, so he is fresh for tonight's game. I believe the Dodgers will have a clear SP edge in tonight's game and so, I'll be taking them in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 912 Los Angeles Dodgers RL -1 (w/ C. Kershaw) @ -127 / 1.79 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 07/24: Cincinnati Reds @ San Francisco Giants

MLB - 913 Cincinnati Reds @ 914 San Francisco Giants

(Starting Pitchers: M. Leake vs C. Gaudin)

The Giants are home dogs in here, but I don't agree with the notion that Leake is a better SP than Gaudin, as not only the latter has actually better advanced numbers than Leake, as the Reds' SP for tonight's game has been struggling as of late. Leake had just two quality outings over his last six, with one of them being against the struggling Rangers' offense. Leake's last three outings are especially worrying with poor K/BB ratios of 5/2, 2/4 and 2/1! To make things worse for him tonight, San Francisco's roster is hitting .351 BA and .990 OPS in 77 AB's against him! Therefore, I believe Leake will struggle tonight.

On the other side, Chad Gaudin is coming from four consecutive good starts with 0, 1, 1 and 0 earned runs allowed! He impressed especially against the red hot Dodgers with one earned run allowed on just seven innings, while having a great 9/1 K/BB! Gaudin's 2.23 ERA won't last forever, but his 2.95 FIP, 3.61 xFIP and 3.61 SIERA show that he has been indeed great. Therefore, I believe the Giants will have a slight edge on SP tonight, so I see them having great value as home dogs in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 914 San Francisco Giants ML (w/ C. Gaudin) @ +103 / 2.03 on 5Dimes

MLB Premium Play 07/14: Cincinnati Reds @ Atlanta Braves

MLB - 905 Cincinnati Reds @ 906 Atlanta Braves

(Starting Pitchers: T. Cingrani vs J. Teheran)

Tony Cingrani will start for the Reds today and he is coming from allowing two earned runs on three hits in seven innings at Milwaukee. He was great in that outing with a 2,57 ERA, 2.92 FIP and 2.67 xFIP and even though he has been a bit inconsistent lately, the truth is that I expect him to limit damages in here. Atlanta is quite banged up right now, their hitting in inconsistent and they will also be without Freddie Freeman and Brian McCann today. Therefore, I expect Cingrani to do a decent job today against a depleted Braves' lineup.

On the other hand, Julio Teheran will start for Atlanta today and he is coming from four runs (one earned) allowed on 7.1 innings against the Marlins last Tuesday. This was the third time in four games that Teheran struggled and I believe fatigue is the problem for him. The All-Star break will do wonders for him, but for now I expect him to struggle today, with the Reds taking advantage of his struggles in here. I see Cincinnati having a slight SP + offense edges today due to Atlanta's absences, therefore I'm taking the Reds as valuable underdogs in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/09: Cincinnati Reds @ Milwaukee Brewers

MLB - 955 Cincinnati Reds @ 956 Milwaukee Brewers

(Starting Pitchers: T. Cingrani vs W. Peralta)

Cincinnati will start Tony Cingrani tonight, who is replacing Johnny Cueto. On his last start, Cingrani struggled a bit against the slumping Giants, as he walked four batters. His last starts were characterized by some walks and home runs. He is still a bit raw and his split stats are quite extreme: 1.51 FIP + 2.30 xFIP versus LH batters; 5.42 FIP + 3.94 xFIP versus RH batters! Milwaukee has a lineup full of RH batters (with Ryan Braun back), so they are a tough matchup for Cingrani! Milwaukee has already faced him early on this season and he struggled on that outing, even though he allowed just two earned runs. Cingrani played just four innings in that outing, as he had a 21.2 P/IP, 9.07 FIP and 3.63 xFIP!

Milwaukee will start Wily Peralta tonight, after he couldn't make his scheduled start last Sunday due to a hamstring injury. Peralta had a nice start at Washington on his last outing, but he had five poor starts in a row prior to that game. This will be his third start against Cincinnati and he struggled on the first two games by allowing a home run on each game and two walks on each game as well. I believe he will struggle tonight, just like Cingrani, so I'll be taking the Over in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/08: Cincinnati Reds @ Milwaukee Brewers

MLB - 905 Cincinnati Reds @ 906 Milwaukee Brewers

(Starting Pitchers: H. Bailey vs K. Lohse)

Cincinnati will start Homer Bailey tonight, who is coming from a no-hitter against San Francisco. He dominated the Giants without problems and he had a complete game with just 109 pitches! Over his last six outings, Bailey's worst start was exactly against the Brewers, where he allowed six earned runs in seven innings. However, he was on a tough spot at the time, as he had thrown 120 pitches on the previous outing and had just 4 days of rest. It's also important to notice that even though Bailey had a 7.71 ERA in that game, his advanced numbers were much better with 4.21 FIP and 3.16 xFIP! Bailey faced four hot offenses on these six games and he was great. His numbers versus RH batters are simply amazing: .183 BA, .219 wOBA, 1.94 FIP and 2.62 xFIP, so he should be able to get revenge over Milwaukee's lineup that is fully of right handed batters.

Kyle Lohse is starting for the Brewers and he allowed just one run on his last outing against Washington in eight innings. Lohse hasn't allowed more than three earned runs on each of his last seven starts, something that has lowered his ERA to 3.43. He had a great month of June with 3.73 FIP and 3.87 xFIP, with one of these good starts being at Cincinnati. Looking at these two in-form pitchers and with both offenses struggling over the past two weeks, I expect this game to be a low scoring one and so, I'll be taking the Under in here.

MLB Premium Play 07/02: San Francisco Giants @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 907 San Francisco Giants @ 908 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: T. Lincecum vs H. Bailey)

The Giants is starting Tim Lincecum, who allowed four runs in 5.1 innings against the Dodgers last Wednesday. Lincecum is being very inconsistent this season, with control problems, a high number of walks and high pitch counts, so he can't go deep in the games. However, he will be facing the Reds tonight, who hit much better versus LH pitchers yesterday (as shown yesterday) than RH pitchers like Lincecum. Therefore, I expect Lincecum to be able to have a decent outing in here.

On the other hand, Cincinnati will start Homer Bailey, who allowed four runs in six innings last Wednesday against Oakland. He allowed all four runs on the fourth inning, while he allowed just two hits and a walk on the other five innings of the outing. His 3.75 season ERA is a decent stat, but his advanced numbers are even better: 2.70 FIP and 2.98 xFIP! Bailey allowed a home run on each of his last three starts, but Oakland, Pittsburgh and Milwaukee are teams with nice offensive numbers. On the other hand, San Francisco is a team full of RH batters and Bailey has a 1.90 FIP and 2.50 xFIP versus RH hitters this season! I expect Bailey to dominate the Giants tonight, while Lincecum should be able to do a fine job in here as well, so I see this game being a low scoring affair. Therefore, I'll be taking the Under in here.

MLB Premium Play 06/29: Cincinnati Reds @ Texas Rangers

MLB - 977 Cincinnati Reds @ 978 Texas Rangers

(Starting Pitchers: M. Leake vs N. Tepesch)

Texas will start Nick Tepesch tonight, who started the season well but without a great stuff, but he is now in fade alert mode! June is being by far his worst month of the season with 4.79 FIP and 4.29 xFIP and even on his last outing at St Louis where he pitched well, his advanced numbers were still not good with 5.53 FIP and 4.98 xFIP! Tepesch has horrible problems with LH batters with .307 BA and .369 wOBA allowed, while having a 5.28 FIP and 4.02 xFIP against them! This is why Cincinnati will start the following lineup tonight, with six batters hitting on the left side!

1. Shin-Soo Choo (L) CF
2. Zack Cozart (R) SS
3. Joey Votto (L) 1B
4. Brandon Phillips (R) 2B
5. Jay Bruce (L) RF
6. Xavier Paul (L) DH
7. Jack Hannahan (L) 3B
8. Devin Mesoraco (R) C
9. Derrick Robinson (S) LF

The Reds will start Mike Leake and he held the Dbacks to just two runs and four hits in eight innings last Saturday. Leake had already been great against Pittsburgh, a team that is currently red hot. Leake is yet to face the Rangers, so he will have the surprise factor working for him and with both offenses being at a similar level, I have to see value in Cincinnati, as they clearly have a SP edge on tonight's matchup. Therefore, I'll be taking the Reds in here.

MLB Premium Play 06/23: Cincinnati Reds @ Arizona Diamondbacks

MLB - 959 Cincinnati Reds @ 960 Arizona Diamondbacks

(Starting Pitchers: M. Latos vs R. Delgado)

Cincinnati will start Mat Latos today and he is fresh for today, as he threw only 88 pitches on his last start. His last start wasn't impressive at first sight with a 5.40 ERA, but the advanced stats tell another story with 1.24 FIP and 2.09 xFIP! He struggled due to a very high .333 BABIP! On the other hand, Arizona will start Randall Delgado, who will make his second start for the Dbacks. His first start was against Miami at home and he looked good with two runs allowed in seven innings, while having a 6/0 K/BB ratio! However, it's obvious that Cincinnati's lineup will be a much tougher task than the Marlins were. Over the last seven days, Miami is #29 in the league with .599 OPS, while Cincinnati is much better with .696 OPS! The Reds are currently 0-2 on this series and so, considering the good SP edge they have in here, I expect them to bounce back today and pick up the win in here.

MLB Premium Play 06/21: Cincinnati Reds @ Arizona Diamondbacks

MLB - 957 Cincinnati Reds @ Arizona Diamondbacks

(Starting Pitchers: J. Cueto vs W. Miley)

Arizona is on a nice spot, as they had a day off yesterday, while Cincinnati played an early game yesterday and then had to travel to Arizona. The Reds are starting Johnny Cueto, who returned from the DL and then had some problems against the Mets, with three runs allowed in five innings, while showing some rust. But since then, he has dominated both the Pirates and the Brewers with dominant performances with a combined of just one run allowed on these two outings! The Dbacks' lineup has been struggling as of late, so I expect Cueto to have another good outing tonight.

On the other hand, Wade Miley will start for Arizona and he is currently on fade alert mode. He started the season very well with 3.25 FIP in April, but he has since regressed with 5.32 FIP in May and 4.61 FIP in June. On his last outing, he allowed six runs on six innings against San Diego. Miley has been struggling against RH batters and this is especially worrying against the Reds' lineup who is full of righties plus the left-handed top hitters Shin-Soo Choo, Joey Votto and Jay Bruce. So, it's no surprise that Cincinnati is #8 in the league versus LH pitchers this season. Cincinnati has a clear SP edge tonight and the Reds' lineup is a patient one and they will give a lot of work to Miley, who has been struggling in striking out batters. Therefore, I expect Cincinnati to take advantage of their edges in here to pick up a nice road win tonight.

MLB Premium Play 06/14: Milwaukee Brewers @ Cincinnati Reds

MLB - 903 Milwaukee Brewers @ 904 Cincinnati Reds

(Starting Pitchers: K. Lohse vs B. Arroyo)

Milwaukee had an off day to rest yesterday and they are coming to this series with some momentum, as they have won five of their last six games. On the other hand, Cincinnati is coming from a marathon game yesterday at Chicago against the Cubs that only ended on the 14th inning! The Brewers are starting Kyle Lohse tonight, who had a shoulder injury and when he came back, he got crushed at Minnesota with six runs allowed! But after that, he looked good against both Oakland and Philadelphia, while having a combined 9/1 K/BB ratio! His main issue this season has been walking batters and homeruns, but it seems that he has solved his issues with walks recently. Lohse has good numbers against the Reds' roster by allowing just .228 BA and .637 OPS in 123 AB's! Therefore, I expect Lohse to have a quality outing tonight.

Cincinnati will start Bronson Arroyo tonight, who is coming from an acceptable outing on Sunday Night Baseball against the Cardinals. He is coming from two positive games against Colorado and St Louis, who are #2 and #7 in the league versus RH pitchers! In fact, Arroyo has been pitching well against RH hitters this season, so he is likely to have another positive outing tonight. However, considering Milwaukee's better spot and momentum for tonight, I believe the Brewers have some great value tonight and so, I'll be taking them in here.
