NBA Premium Play 03/06: Portland Trailblazers @ Memphis Grizzlies

NBA - 715 Portland Trailblazers @ 716 Memphis Grizzlies

Projected Line: Memphis by 4 points

Memphis will be without Zach Randolph and Darrell Arthur for tonight. The Grizzlies struggled to win at Orlando without Randolph on their last game. The size edge was tremendous for the Magic, but Memphis got away with it with a rare great outside shooting game with 11-24 3pts! For tonight, Randolph's absence is going to be very important, as Portland has nothing to do with Orlando in terms of frontcourt power, especially now that they have been playing quite well since the All Star Break. Of course beating Minnesota and Charlotte at home was easy for the Blazers, but Portland also played a ballgame at LA against the Lakers, they defeated Boston at home and then, played another ballgame against Denver!

With both Zach Randolph and Darrell Arthur out of tonight's game, Memphis will only have Ed Davis and Jon Leuer at the PF position. These two players have no chance of stopping LaMarcus Aldridge tonight, so this will be a great mismatch favoring the Blazers. Portland's backcourt defense is quite poor, but Memphis's backcourt with Mike Conley and Tony Allen isn't exactly a powerhouse on offense. They are just #22 on pick and roll ball handler and #26 on spot up shooting. Memphis will have some edge down low with Marc Gasol and possibly on rebounds, but once again, without Zach Randolph, Memphis doesn't really have a great offense.

Portland's offense has been shooting well from the outside, Nicolas Batum is healthy again and their offensive balance has been good. On the last game played between these two teams, Portland won at Memphis on a game what Zach Randolph didn't play. I believe that with the Blazers being confident right now and on a decent spot, they should be able of using the big edge they have with LaMarcus Aldridge and be very competitive tonight. I'll be taking Portland tonight.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 715 Portland Trailblazers (+7,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
