NBA - 723 Chicago Bulls @ 724 San Antonio Spurs
Projected Lines: 186 points | San Antonio by 5 points
San Antonio crushed both Sacramento and Detroit, even after losing Tony Parker for a month. However, these two teams have nothing to do with Chicago in terms of toughness. Chicago's defense is similar to San Antonio's in terms of having a great rim defense and 3pts defense. I know that the Bulls got outplayed at home against San Antonio earlier on the season even without Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan, but I believe Chicago's defense will be able to do a good job tonight against the Spurs's great offense. Joakim Noah will guard Tim Duncan, Luol Deng will guard Kawhi Leonard, while Jimmy Butler will guard Manu Ginobili.
The Bulls will have a big edge tonight in terms of rebounding, as San Antonio has grabbed an average of just 45.8% of the rebounds on their last 10 games! Chicago is a top rebounding team and they'll take advantage of that to pound the Spurs on the rebounding tonight. This rebounding edge takes off some of the Spurs's offensive rhythm and this is why they struggle against Memphis regularly for example. Of course, the Bulls will need to produce a bit of offense tonight to be competitive, but with Carlos Boozer facing Tiago Splitter and Marco Belinelli, Jimmy Butler and Nate Robinson on the backcourt, they should be able of having just that. I expect the Bulls to be competitive tonight on a rather low scoring contest, therefore I'll be taking both Chicago and the Under in here.
