NBA Free Premium Play 02/01: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Detroit Pistons

Cleveland  at Detroit
NBA - 807 Cleveland Cavaliers @ 808 Detroit Pistons

Projected Line: pk line

Jose Calderon won't play tonight for his new team and so, Detroit will be using Brandon Knight, Rodney Stuckey and Kyle Singler in the backcourt. This is good news for Cleveland and this backcourt combination of the Pistons made them just dish 11 assists on their last game in Indiana. Detroit may have Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond on the frontcourt, but with no ball movement, the ball doesn't get to their powerful frontcourt in good conditions for them to pound their opponents on the down low!

Cleveland is coming from a home loss against a shorthanded Warriors team. Kyrie Irving was sick and he had a poor game with 5-17 FG and just 4 assists. At the end of the game, he confessed that he was in no condition of playing, but with him back to being healthy, Cleveland's offense will have a super edge over Detroit's defense on pick and rolls, as the Pistons's defense is just #23 on pick and roll ball handler defense by allowing 0.82 PPP this season, but they are regressing even more, as they have been allowing 0.89 PPP on their last 10 games and 0.96 PPP on their last 5 games!

In the last two games between these two teams, Cleveland played without Kyrie Irving and with Jeremy Pargo starting at the PG position for the Cavaliers, Detroit had a huge edge at the PG position. Now things will be much different and I expect Cleveland to have a good shot of winning this game outright. Therefore, I'll be taking the Cavs plus the points tonight.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 807 Cleveland Cavaliers (+4,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
