NBA - 809 Orlando Magic @ 810 Cleveland Cavaliers
Projected Line: 202 points
Orlando was completely shorthanded on their last two games and this was quite visible, as they faced two tough teams in the Clippers in bounce back mode and Philadelphia, who always play tough against lowly teams. The Magic's offense relies mostly on their pick and rolls led by Jameer Nelson and the cuts, with their guards penetrating into the basket. Cleveland's pick and rolls ball handler defense is poor, as they are #23 on the league with 0.82 PPP allowed for the season and 0.99 PPP allowed on their last 5 games! Cleveland's transition defense is also poor, as they are #25 in the league with 1.19 PPP allowed and even though they are #13 on cuts defense with 1.17 PPP allowed this season, they have allowed 1.29 PPP on their last five games! This is the perfect game for Orlando to finally have a good offensive game, especially when Cleveland faces Denver tomorrow and so, it's likely that they will be in lookahead spot tonight.
Cleveland's poor defense confirms what I've been saying about them for a while. Kyrie Irving is almost playing at MVP level on offense, their second unit has been playing very well on offense, with Marreese Speights having 5-10 FG and 10 rebounds and Wayne Ellington shooting 7-12 FG on the team's last game against Charlotte, but the Cavaliers basically don't defend and almost purely rely on their offense to stay competitive on their games. This is exactly what I expect to happen in here: Cleveland to have another great offensive game, while allowing Orlando's offense to have a good game to keep them hanging around in the scoreboard. Therefore, I expect this game to be a high scoring one and so, I'll be taking the Over in here.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 809/810 Over 199 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
