(Starting Pitchers: T. Hudson vs C. Lee)
Philadelphia is currently having a good run on offense. They are coming from a series win at Pittsburgh, where they hit .265, .289 and .368 BA on the three games! On the other side, Atlanta struggled at home against Miami by losing the last two games of the series. The Braves will start Tim Hudson today and he is coming from allowing four runs on 5.2 innings against Arizona last Saturday. He had a solid June with 2.45 ERA, 3.29 FIP and 3.83 xFIP, however he had a 2/3 K/BB ratio on his last outing against the Dbacks. In fact, his command on his last three outings was quite poor: 2/3, 4/4 and 6/3 K/BB! Therefore, the in-form Phillies have a shot at making Hudson struggle today. Hudson has problems versus LH batters, especially in comparison with RH batters: 19.4% vs 15.3% K%; 4.5% vs 9.0% BB; 3.41 vs 4.20 FIP; 3.09 vs 4.47 xFIP! The Phillies' lineup is led by LH batters, so Hudson is a nice matchup for them.
On the other hand, the Phillies will start their ace Cliff Lee, who keeps going very deep on his outing. Lee has played at least seven innings on his last 10 starts, while showing an impeccable command! Having in account Atlanta is a K% machine, this is a great spot for Lee to have another nice outing. Lee has already dominated the Braves this season with no runs allowed in eight innings, while having a great 8/0 K/BB ratio! Philadelphia is currently hitting quite well and with their ace on the mount, I expect them to pick an easy win tonight.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 954 Philadelphia Phillies RL -1 (w/ C. Lee) @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes
