| Charlotte at Sacramento |
| NBA - 805 Charlotte Bobcats @ 806 Sacramento Kings Projected Line: Sacramento by 4 points I have no doubt about Sacramento's attitude for this contest. They are coming home after a long road trip and they will host the worst team in the league today, so this will be a relax spot for them, something that never works well for a lowly team. This should be especially clear on their lack of defensive effort today. Charlotte is coming from a humiliating loss at Utah, where they grabbed only 30% of the rebounds. The rebounding edge was so big for the Jazz that they grabbed more offensive rebounds than Charlotte grabbed defensive rebounds! As the Bobcats couldn't grab defensive rebounds, they couldn't go in transition and so, they scored just 2 fast break points! This was terrible for a team that depends a lot from their pick and roll ball handlers and transition plays. Now at Sacramento, they should be able to have a good offensive game. They are #4 in the league on pick and roll ball handler plays with 0.86 PPP and they will be facing a Kings defense that is #30 on pick and roll ball handlers with 0.91 PPP allowed and #29 in the league on transition defense with 1.22 PPP allowed! So, even though the Bobcats's overall offense is poor, they will have good edges today against Sacramento. Kemba Walker, Ramon Sessions, Michael Kidd-Gilchirst and Gerald Henderson will be able to pound the basket without much opposition, something that combined with Sacramento's poor spot on their first home game after a long road trip and their natural overlook in a game against Charlotte should allow the Bobcats in having a great offensive game today. If Sacramento keeps having the same great perimeter shooting that they've been showing over their last games, then this will be a huge problem for Charlotte, who is a poor 3pts defensive team. But the Kings are so prone to turnovers and that Charlotte should be able to compensate a Kings's big perimeter shooting game. Charlotte was a +8.5/9 points underdog at Utah, in a game where the Jazz didn't have Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap, but they had Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors that would be a huge plus on defense and this is why I took the Under on that game. Now the Bobcats have almost the same line at Sacramento against a lowly team that won't show a lot of focus today. This is a game where the Bobcats should be very competitive and so, I'll be taking them in here. Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 805 Charlotte Bobcats (+7,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes |
