The Mets will start Young today and he has been struggling lately, including a last outing in Philadelphia, where he allowed five runs and four hits in just 4.1 innings. He has allowed five runs or more in three of his last six starts and he has already been pounded by Miami previously on this season with 7 earned runs allowed in just 4.1 innings. Therefore, I expect him to have some problems today as well, especially when he struggles against LH batters and the Marlins have good options on their lineup to expose this weakness from Young.
Buehrle will start for Miami today and he has been in good form by allowing just 1, 2 and 2 runs on his last three starts. He dominated the Dodgers will just one run allowed in 5.2 innings allowed. He is now 3-0 with a 2.29 ERA and a 11/4 K/BB ratio on his last three starts, therefore I expect him to have another good outing today against a Mets offense that doesn't scare anybody.
After yesterday's meltdown in the 9th inning, I expect Miami to bounce back today and get a good win by taking advantage of a clear SP edge on this contest and therefore, I'll be taking the Marlins in here.
