Pittsburgh may be fighting for a place in the postseason, but Milwaukee is clearly the better team right now, with a much better offense and recently better pitching as well, including in the bullpen who has been in a good moment, excluding a meltdown against the Cubs a couple of days ago. The Brewers will start Estrada today and he dominated the Cubs on his last two starts with some good command and excellent number of strikeouts. He is amazing against RH batters with 3.29 FIP and 3.05 xFIP and he had a quality outing against the Pirates earlier on the season with three earned runs allowed, while striking out eleven batters.
Pittsburgh will start Burnett, who is struggling lately just like the team in overall. He lost on Monday against the Cardinals, in an outing where he allowed four runs (three earned), seven hits and one walk in 5.2 innings, with just three strikeouts. He has started to struggle in August with a 5.18 ERA, .282 BA and 4.77 FIP, so I expect him to have a tough night against the powerful Brewers on the road. I believe the red hot Brewers will crush Burnett tonight, while Estrada will have another quality outing, therefore I'll be taking Milwaukee in here.
