Memphis is coming from a loss last night in Phoenix, where they showed lack of muscle on the boards. Phoenix won the rebounding battle by 52-35, which included 17 offensive rebounds. Stringing together a number of put-back baskets helped the Suns hang around in the first half and maintain a lead for all but 14 seconds after halftime!
“We started off with a real good rhythm but we weren’t playing our style and our pace and our tempo,” Hollins said. “No matter how well we were playing offensively they were scoring. When we stopped scoring, they got the lead and we had to play from behind the rest of the game.”
On the other hand, Denver has been excellent on rebounding lately with Faried in the PF position. The rebounding problems of Memphis will be once again very evident today. This is a double revenge game for Denver, who lost their last two games against the Grizzlies down the stretch. This time, looking at the Grizzlies' poor spot and Denver's much better depth, I expect the Nuggets to get revenge today and get a very clear win today. So, I'll be taking Denver today.
