NBA - 533 Toronto Raptors @ 534 Cleveland Cavaliers
Projected line: Cleveland by 10 points
***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***
Toronto is currently dealing with some changes in their structure, with Calderon being out and Bargnani coming back in their last two games. These changes caused the Raptors to lose all their identity and in their last game against Milwaukee, they didn't know what to do down the stretch and with Bargnani still trying to find his best physical form, all the pressure of carrying the team's offense went to their guards, who struggled down the stretch. Without Calderon, Toronto will have problems in defending the Cavs backcourt, especially Irving, while with Bargnani back will cause the Raptors to be weaker on their interior defense. Toronto's offense was quite poor on their last two games by shooting 10-24 FG at the rim and 15-28 FG against Milwaukee, which shows poor distribution and poor shooting on the inside, while against Detroit the bad shooting at the inside was also evident with 13-23 FG at the rim!
The Raptors have won both games already played this season against the Cavs, but with Calderon on the court. In fact, the Spanish player had 15 points and 11 assists in the season opener, a 104-96 win for the Raptors. Two weeks later, Calderon contributed 13 points and 11 assists in Toronto's 92-77 victory! On the other hand, Irving struggled in both games by shooting a combined of 5-25 FG! But now, Cleveland is 3-0 in their last three games and against three playoff bond teams with wins in Denver, in Oklahoma City and at home against Houston. In those games, their transitions in the offense were excellent as their guards are playing really well lately! Looking at what the Detroit guards did recently against Toronto, with Stuckey 8-12 FG, Knight 7-13 FG and Gordon 4-7 FG, I expect the Cavs backcourt to have another great game and eventually lead them to a very comfortable win over the struggling Raptors. Therefore, looking at Cleveland's momentum and their revenge spot, I'll take Cleveland tonight in a Double Dime Play!
Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 534 Cleveland Cavaliers (-3,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on 5 Dimes
