NBA - 879 Houston Rockets @ 880 Cleveland Cavaliers
Projected line: 200 points
Finally Houston has able to snap their losing streak and they won at New Jersey last night. Their offense played really well by shooting 56% FG and dishing 28 assists, while having an excellent all around game and with six players scoring double digits points! They attacked well the rim with 16-24 FG, while at the same time they shot well from the outside. Their main problem was how terrible their defense was against a Nets team on a bad spot and playing without Deron. They allowed Farmar to shoot 7-11 FG, Brooks 11-16 FG and Green 10-15 FG! The Nets offense had no flow with 21% volume in ISO plays, but they still shot 10-17 FG on those plays for 1.05 PPP!
On the other hand, the Cavs offense has their biggest strength in their backcourt plus Jamison. Both Irving and Sessions are playing well and against such a super bad perimeter defense of Houston, I expect a good offensive game from Cleveland. The Cavs are now very confident by coming from two road wins in a row against Denver and Oklahoma City where they struggled to defend the transition plays, but they played quite well down the stretch. The matchup of this game indicate a good offensive game from both teams with Jamison vs Scola being prone to good offensive production from both teams, while the guards of both teams should also be able to have a good offensive game. Therefore, I came up with a totals projection of 200 points for this game, high enough for me to take the Over in here.
