With Nash in good form, these two teams are basically at the same level, even though Houston has better rebounding skills. Coach Gentry messed up by putting Frye coming off the bench and that didn't improve the team, but once he cameback to the starting lineup, the team immediately improved again, as Nash needs shooters on the court to feed them with open spaces. Houston has been having problems in defending both P&R's Ball Handler and Roll Man this season (#20 by allowing 0.82 PPP & #24 by allowing 1.07 PPP respectively) and as we know, this is the bread and butter of the Suns offense! I remember the home game of the Rockets against the Wolves, where Minnesota finished with 12-16 FG on P&R's!
The frontcourt battle between Frye & Gortat vs Scola and Dalembert will be a close one, as Scola will have an edge downlow, but the bad offense will expose him on the outside! Phoenix has been a bad rebounding team and Houston may have an edge on this area, as they also have a better bench, even though Phoenix has finally everybody healthy on the roster! I expect this game to be quite close as I don't see any team having a major edge in here, so I'll take Phoenix. I also expect this game to be a high scoring game, as both teams struggle on defense and have an offense mindset and therefore, I'll take the over in here as well.
