Arizona has called up Zeke Spruill to the rotation, as Ian Kennedy was traded to San Diego. Spruill doesn't seem like he has been impressive in the minors this season, as a 34/24 K/BB ratio over 72.1 innings at Reno isn't exactly great, even though his 3.24 ERA is decent. I don't believe Spruill will be able to handle the suddenly red hot Rangers, who got a mega confidence boost by sweeping the Angels at home. On the other side, Texas will start Yu Darvish, who seemed tired right before the All-Star break by allowing five runs to Houston, but since the second half of the season started, Darvish allowed 0 and 1 earned runs to Cleveland on the road and the Yankees at home, while striking out 15 batters! Darvish had a stellar 14/0 K/BB on an outing in Arizona earlier in the season and I believe he will have another good performance tonight. Therefore, I believe the Rangers will continue their sudden good run with an easy win tonight. So, I'll be taking the Rangers on the runline in here.
