They also shot well from mid range and from 16-23 feet, with their only problem being the 1-8 from the 3pts line! On the other side, Toronto is on their best moment of the season with 4-3 on their last 7 games, with their losses being by 3, 3 and 4 points! For today, the Raptors will offer some matchup problems to Detroit, as their defensive system is built to prevent their opponents to attack the rim and it has been working well for them as they have been allowing just 58% FG at the rim this season and 55% FG since the All Star break. Detroit's offense is dependent from what Monroe can do and so, they are likely to struggle in here, just like they struggled in the last game between these two teams where Detroit shot just 21-39 FG 53.9% at the rim, with Monroe shooting 6-13 FG. With the inside game of the Pistons being limited, Detroit's backcourt will be tested and with them being poor on the outside shooting and turnover prone, this won't work well for Detroit. Besides that, Toronto will use some zone defense by taking advantage of Detroit's poor outside shooting. The penetrations from the Raptors backcourt were the key on the previous game between these two teams with DeRozan shooting 9-15 FG, Barbosa 7-14 FG and Johnson 6-12 FG.
