NBA Premium Play 03/10: Memphis Grizzlies @ Phoenix Suns

NBA - 515 Memphis Grizzlies @ 516 Phoenix Suns

Projected line: 202 points | Memphis by 5

***TRIPLE DIME PLAY***

*TOP PLAY*

Memphis is currently having their best moment of the season and they are coming from an easy win in Golden State last Wednesday. The Grizzlies had their transition game working well. According to Synergy Sports, a whopping 24% of the Grizzlies possessions were executed as transition breaks and their points per possession were a very nice 1.54. Defense leading to offense is one cliche that the Grizzlies are executing well during this winning streak, mostly thanks to the steals they keep having in their games. Memphis has also been amazing on rebounding and their pressuring defense is being better than never and they are even being more aggressive with a FT/rate of 24.39% since the All Star break against a season average of 21.74%!

On the other side, Phoenix is coming from a nice home win against Dallas. Just like Memphis, the Suns are playing very well lately even though they can't have the same in-game consistency that Memphis have. Phoenix has been rebounding well, but they have problems with turnovers against aggressive teams. They committed 18 against Oklahoma City, 17 against Minnesota and 15 against Sacramento. So against Memphis, I expect a lot of problems of the Suns. This will be the second game between these two teams this season and in the first one, Phoenix won by 86-84 with a controversial foul with just 3 seconds to go. Note that the Suns led the game at halftime by 48-32, but then Memphis made a rally in the second half. Also note that the Suns shot 36,4% FG against 43.4% FG of the Grizzlies, but Phoenix won the fight for the boards. So, this makes a revenge game for Memphis:

"We owe them," Griz guard Tony Allen said about the rematch ; "It's good that they remember," Griz coach Lionel Hollins said. "You come out just a little bit more focused and a little more determined."

The Grizzlies are coming with revenge for this contest and considering how well they are playing, I expect them to be able to outplay the Suns in here and a get a good road win. So, I'll be taking Memphis in here. Also considering how well both teams have been playing on offense, I expect both teams to play in here in a semi-fast pace and with a lot of efficiency for both teams. Therefore, I came up with a totals projection of 200 points, high enough for me to take the over in here in a Triple Dime Play!
