The series between these two divisional rivals is currently at 2-0 for the Sixers, with two blowout home wins, but in those games Boston was always on a back to back spot, while Philadelphia was rested. In fact, in the last game between the two teams, Boston shot 48.6% FG, while Philadelphia shot 44.6% FG and still the Celtics lost by 13 points. The reason for that was the fact that Philadelphia completely outrebounded Boston by 14-3 in offensive rebounds and with that, the Sixers had more second chance shots. It is likely that Boston will be outrebounded once again today, but it won't be as evident this time, as the Sixers also played last night.
This will obviously be a halfcourt game and with Brand tired from yesterday's matchup with Howard and with Philadelphia lacking any kind of inside presence, Boston's defense is too good and they will stop the Sixers' perimeter offense with ease. Philadelphia is struggling right now and they are lacking confidence on their game. This will be crucial in the clutch moments of the games, as shown yesterday where they scored just 2 points in the last 2 minutes of their game against the Magic. Boston is clearly playing better than the Sixers right now, this is a double revenge game for them at home and with their regained confidence, I believe the Celtics will have a quite easy win today. I'm taking Boston in here.
