NBA - 701 Chicago Bulls @ 702 New York Knicks
Projected line: 182 points
This is a good game in perspective with the improved Knicks! Both teams are having good rebounding numbers and if that's normal for the Bulls, the Knicks are surprising everybody with that, as Melo is playing as the team's PF right now! However, both Shumpert and Fields are guards with good rebounding skills and this has been helping the Knicks. Offensively, the Knicks continue to dish a little number of assists and their ability of scoring on the inside is almost non-existent, as Amare is out and the team is heavily relying on ISO and spot up plays coming from the perimeter! Considering the fact that Chicago is #2 and #6 in defending these kind of plays, I heavily doubt the Knicks will have a big offensive game today!
On the other side, Rose is probable and he will play today, however I don't believe he will have a big game, as Rose is an explosive guard who needs to be at 100% physically to explode and have self-confidence to penetrate into the basket. Nevertheless, I believe coach Woodson will put Shumpert or Fields guarding Rose, as he won't take the gamble of putting Baron defending such an explosive opponent. The Knicks have been amazing on their interior defense and this will match well with the Bulls, who have been missing a lot from the rim lately.
The last two games between these two paces had paces over 90, however D'Antoni was still the Knicks coach and now with Woodson leading the Knicks, I expect the pace to be slower, as their season average pace is 92.3, while their pace in the last 10 games is 89.23 and their average pace was even slower in their last 5 games with 86.58! Unlike some people may expect, this will be a typical half court game, with both teams struggling to score. Therefore, I believe this will be a low scoring affair and so, I'll take the Under in here.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 701/702 Under 186 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
