Some thoughts:
- There won't be 3 back-to-back-back spots, all teams will have one back-to-back spot but 10 teams will have 2: Atlanta, Detroit, Indiana, LA Clippers, Minnesota, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland and San Antonio
- Boston will face Lakers, Dallas and Oklahoma City twice;
- Houston will play 7 of first 8 and 8 of 10 against playoff teams. They won't play at home against Miami, Boston, Orlando or Chicago;
- Dallas has a tough early schedule! The Mavs has 4 stretches of 4 games in 5 days and one stretch of 5 games in 6 days. After the All Star Game they will play 9 games in 12 days!
- Detroit's toughest spot will be a five-day road trip (Jan. 28-Feb. 1) with four games in those five days;
- Indiana will play 5 of its first 7 games on the road, including games @Miami and @Boston;
- Miami will play LA Lakers, Mavericks & Thunder twice. They have eight games in 11 days in April.
- NY Knicks won't play @Denver - No Melodrama there!
- LA Lakers' first 12 games will be at home or on the road against West teams - not big travels for them; toughest part: six-game trip in early February including back-to-backs in Boston and NY Knicks;
- Philadelphia will play 9 of their last 11 games on the road, also the five games of the season will be on the road;
- Phoenix are the only West team to not play at home against any of the East's potential top five teams: Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York and Orlando. On the other end, Golden State and Oklahoma City will play against those 5 teams at home;
- Portland starts the season with seven of their first 10 games at the Rose Garden. Then they hit the road to play games in 9 days, they will not play @Miami or @Orlando;
- San Antonio have 4 games in 5 days to open season,
- Sacramento will play 21 of their first 33 games on the road;
- Utah plays 6 games in the first 8 days, biggest road trip: 5 games in 7 days: @Dallas, @Cleveland, @Charlotte, @Philly, & @Chicago;
