NBA - 515 New Orleans Hornets @ 516 Dallas Mavericks

New Orleans's offense is based on the pick and rolls with Greivis Vasquez and Eric Gordon, while they can be also dangerous on the treys with Ryan Anderson, besides their offensive rebounds with Robin Lopez and Anthony Davis against Dallas's poor defensive rebounding skills. Dallas isn't particularly good on defense against every of these areas by being out of the top 15! This makes sense because with Darren Collison at the PG position and with the Mavericks frontcourt that aren't quick on rotating defensively, there are no miracles. So, I see some edge for the Hornets offense tonight.
On the other hand, Dirk Nowitzki will start tonight and I don't know how this will change Dallas's philosophy on offense. But if nothing changes, then Dallas will have a nice edge on transitions against New Orleans today. The Hornets are a bad perimeter defensive team and Dallas is very inconsistent on this area. Dallas also has some offensive edge on post ups. However, I believe Dallas isn't ready to explode offensive with Dirk Nowitzki, who isn't at 100% yet. There is a lot of things to be adjusted until the Mavericks can play at their potential and with the Hornets having some nice offensive edges tonight, I believe they will make this game very competitive. I'm taking New Orleans tonight.
