NBA - 707 Dallas Mavericks @ 708 Toronto Raptors Play #4 The Raptors are just a terrible matchup for this Mavericks team… DAL rebounding has been awful all season long – they are the third worst defensive rebounding team in the league w/ subpar 72.1% Def. Reb/rate% and this bodes well for a decent TOR team that is top 10 in Offensive Boards (they are ranked #8). Both teams simply love to run P&R’s ball handler plays… I have DAL being #1 team vol% in the league while TOR is ranked #6…the biggest difference for tonight’s contest will be on the defensive side, b/c while TOR has been great defensively vs. this play (ranked #5) w/ better numbers in L10 games, the Mavericks are in a complete decline as of late… L4 games P&R BH defensive numbers: 1.11, 1.33, 1.40 & 0.78 PPP! TOR has lost their last 2 games mainly due to subpar defense, so I expect them to be more focused defensively tonight. With TOR having the edge on rebounding & defense, I expect their offense to be decent vs. an awful DAL defense and therefore, I’m taking them to win this contest.
