Without Wade, Miami had their expected bounce back against Philadelphia. Offensively, Miami struggled a bit from the outside with 3-13 FG on 3pts, but they had a lot of open looks. They had good variety on their plays, but especially the main reason why they won was because they were aggressive with 26-32 on free throws! On the other hand, Philadelphia actually had a good day in attacking the rim, as as a team Philadelphia shot 17-28 FG at the rim, with Turner shooting 4-5 FG, Louis 3-5 FG and Iggy 4-5 FG. With that, Philadelphia shoot 7-12 FG on cuts and if Brand hadn't struggled with 1-6 FG and the Sixers would have had to win the game.
Toronto continues to have good offense, however they aren't coming from an easy game against Charlotte. Still, in the last 5 games, they are averaging an offensive rate of 116.5! Nobody played 40 minutes or more and they still managed to have a solid offensive game, as 92 points scored doesn't reflect their efficiency as the pace of the game was 83! Toronto had a good variety of plays and with Bargnani at a good level, they are able to be a good offensive team. Toronto's problem is in their defense, as they aren't a top defensive team anymore, as they are averaging a defensive rate of 119 in their last 5 games! Their paint defense used to be top notch as they are averaging 60% FG at the rim for the season, but they have allowed 66% FG in their last 10 games and 70% FG in their last 5 games! Against a lowly team like the Bobcats, they allowed Charlotte to shoot 8-12 FG in transition!
With Toronto struggling on defense and with Philadelphia having some good offense, I expect the Sixers to have a good offensive game tonight. On the other hand, the Raptors are now playing some decent offense and with the Sixers struggling at the rim since Hawes returned to the lineup (71% FG allowed at the rim in the last 5 games), I also expect Toronto to be efficient on the offensive end tonight. Therefore, I'll be taking the Over in here. I'll be also Toronto on this contest, as I believe they are playing well and they should make this game quite competitive tonight.
